Victor M. Olazábal
Victor M. Olazabal (Spain, 1988). Graduated in Journalism and Political Science at Universidad Complutense, Madrid. Currently he is a freelance journalist based in New Delhi, India, whose work is focused mainly on politics, gender discrimination, environmental challenges and economic inequalities in South Asia.
Since 2013, he has covered several national elections in different countries, the deadly earthquakes in Nepal, the communal violence in India, the evolution of the garment sector in Bangladesh or the struggles against air and water pollution which is a deeply concern in this region. He also has interviewed Nobel Peace Prize Kailash Satyarthi, indian women survivors of acid attacks and victims of Kashmir conflict among others.
His work has been published in El Mundo, Cadena SER, Eldiario, 5W Magazine, Vice, Proceso Magazine and El Universal among others.
In the past, he has reported as freelancer in United States, Mexico and Morocco.
