Sibylle Grunze is a freelance Director of Photography and Creative Producer based in Berlin. She has a diploma as a D.o.P. from the Film Acadamy of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Sibylle has developed, realised and shot documentaries, animation films and cross media projects. Her project HZBzlog - A Logbook of Everyday Science has won the German Prize for Online Communication in 2014. She won the Student Camera Award 2001 by the professional journal „Der Kameramann“ for the feature film „Ich werde dich auf Händen tragen“.
Since 2012, she has been the founder and CEO of the film and media production company Hoppenhaus & Grunze Medien with Kerstin Hoppenhaus.
In a series of short videos, 'Rust Never Sleeps' tells the story of how a tiny fungus came to threaten to destroy one of the most important crops in the world, and how we may or may not be able to stop it.
