Nathalie Bertrams is a photographer and journalist who works across mainly Africa.
She is a National Geographic Explorer, and a grantee of the European Journalism Center, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Free Press Unlimited and the Kunstfonds Foundation. In 2018 and 2017, she was awarded the Hostwriter Prize, and in 2016 the EU Lorenzo Natali Media Prize by the European Commission.
Her work has been published by The Guardian, Süddeutsche Zeitung, New Internationalist, Al Jazeera, Mail & Guardian, PRI, Courrier International and others.
Nathalie holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany. She is a member of Reporters without Borders, Hostwriter and Women Photograph.
