Marisa Schwartz Taylor is a multimedia journalist who currently works as a photo editor at The New York Times. She was previously a photo editor at TIME magazine. She also photographed for Ghana’s largest newspaper, The Daily Graphic and has worked in TV and radio journalism in Ghana. Kevin and Marisa founded Loud Silence Media, a human-interest documentary production house in Accra in 2012. They have produced many short documentaries in Ghana and worked with all of the major local media houses.
The African Energy Project explores issues of energy inefficiency in West Africa and homegrown innovations in alternative energy that could set an example for the rest of the planet.
