Jerónimo Giorgi is a Uruguayan-Swedish freelance journalist based in Germany. He has a master in Journalism from Universidad de Barcelona – Columbia University and the last five years he has been working as a writer and photographer on political, economic and social topics worldwide. His work has appeared in numerous publications including, El País, El Periódico de Catalunya, L’Espresso, Vice, Folha de Sao Paulo and La Nación.
The lack of access to technology is an obstacle to development. This story looks at initiatives in India, Uruguay and Egypt that aim to narrow the digital divide, in this way democratising access to the digital world.
