Elisabetta Tola ia a journalist and science communicator. She lectures in data journalism, science communication and multimedia at the Master in Science Communication at Sissa, Trieste and other journalism schools.
She is the co-founder of the science communication agency Formicablu, radio presenter of the daily science programme Radio3Scienza on RAI Radio 3 and of the weekly tech&digital innovation programme Pensatech at Radio Città del Capo, Elisabetta is also a freelance contributor for Wired Italy, RaiExpo, L’Espresso and other science & tech media and for the Italian publisher Zanichelli.
She is co-founder of the iData research project, organiser of the first data journalism courses in Italy and of the Hacks & Hackers' Italian chapter, co-author of Wired Italy's #safeschools data investigation on seismic risk assessment in Italian schools. Elisabetta is also the founder of datajournalism.it, a web lab for data-driven stories and tutorials.
A movement of farmers and scientists is promoting a worldwide sustainable and participatory approach to agriculture and food sovereignty. This project documents the impacts of this innovation in northern and southern rural communities.
This project will collect data on the corporations that control the global seed market and the impact that they have on farmers and seed producers.
