Description

OneWorld is the largest Dutch journalistic platform on global solidarity and sustainability. It publishes ten magazine issues a year. OneWorld was founded in December 2011 as a result of a merger between IS (Internationale Samenwerking), onzeWereld and Oneworld.nl. The aim of the network is to inform about international cooperation and sustainability issues, to provide tools and inspiration for people who want to achieve a fairer and cleaner world and to stimulate discussion on these topics.

This interactive web documentary follows the struggle for life of three passionate female health workers in Sub-Saharan Africa, where maternal mortality registers the highest rates in the world.

Tales of the Missing Millions

This scrollytelling project looks into fraud and corruption at major development institutions, such as the World Bank, and at the monitoring solutions emerging at the international and local level.

Investment Arbitration and Development

This project sheds light on the intransparent world of investment protection, by displaying all known investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) cases in a map and showing what some of these cases mean for developing countries.

Ndirande Slum – Engines Behind the Development Goals

Slums, as many Westerners think, are a huge obstacle to development. This project challenges this idea, showing that slums can be an engine for poverty eradication.

Myths & Misunderstandings about the Millennium Development Goals
